maternity & birth notes

Hi! I did through my hospital website and i think i got them back within a month, however ive heard some places are useless😅If you haven’t heard back definitely bug them.

I haven’t been wanting to, but my friend done it and was a couple of months before she got hers x

@Lucy how do i go about doing it, i’m not too sure?x

Hey, so I emailed them on 5th July and they gave me regular updates. I received them on email as an attachment on 14th August. They also sent a disc out in the post with my scans. If you do receive it by email, then it can be hard to open because it says click here and nothing happens but you gotta click an invisible link somewhere in the email. Nightmare I know. Not sure if it happened to other people but letting you know x

@Jessica find the hospital you gave birth in, it’s their email. Mine was Chester hospital and the email is cochlegalservices@nhs.net. So it’ll be something like that

Omg this notification just popped up as I was just downloading mine haha. It took about 2-3months to get mine but got them yesterday xx

how long after giving birth can you request your birth notes etc? i’d love to have mine but my little not long turned two, is it still possible to request them?x

@~ Miss Ritaa🦋 yes you have 25 years to request them and you can request them straight away I believe. I gave birth end of April and got them August x

I can see my notes on the NHS app if that’s any help? Like the time my waters broke, the time I started pushing, then when I started active pushing, the time babies head came out and then the time the rest of him came out etc … if that’s that sort of thing you’re interested in!?x
