Snacks

What snacks are you all making for your almost 1 year old? I make yogurt muffins for him and we have fruit but is there anything else you’re making without high sugar? I was thinking I would try goldfish next but it says it’s a choking hazard until they’re over 1. Thanks!

We like guacamole lol 😊

Following because I’m interested too! We do a lot of plain Greek yogurt, fresh mozzarella cheese, and fruit. In the cereal isle there is puffed wheat that’s unflavored that has been a nice option. We don’t buy a lot of snacks that are marketed towards kids because of high sugar and high price tag. Our daughter does love the coconut smoothie melts from Once Upon a Farm so we will splurge for those.

We do thick-sliced roasted sweet potatoes, bananas, steamed broccoli, and everything else we eat that is easy to chew!

Baby cereal mixed with fruit or peanut butter

@Markie do you shred the cheese and then give it to them? This is something pretty easy I haven’t considered. And the Cheerios—they don’t have any problems chewing those? I haven’t given mine anything too crunchy other than some freeze dried fruit.

@McKayla honestly I give it whole and let her bite into it. As she starts pulling it apart, I then with shred it for her. Mine doesn’t have a problem chewing Cheerios. I honestly give her anything I eat and she does amazing with everything some things like steaks and such I’ll cut up way small for her.

Hey all, so I was looking for some quick on the go snackie ideas that don’t have tons of added stuff and sugar. I found some bobby approved cereals and puffs that I started using a small snack for when we’re on the go and it’s no mess. I’ll share them here if you want to look into them. https://a.co/d/izmpv0J https://a.co/d/eM7CpRH These have a good source of protein (better than other brands) and no sugar plus they’re organic. And mine loves them!
