Weaning

Sorry, another weaning question. My little girl was born 3rd April. We've been weaning for around a week and a bit. What does this look like for your babies? Are they actually eating or just tasting still? Do they consume much? Are you giving just fruit and veg or an actual meal?

My LG was born April 5th, she’s been really on and off when trying foods. We tried her with purée’s but she wasn’t a fan. So everyday I’m trying her with something new. So far she’s tried cucumber, avocado and scrambled egg. She doesn’t tend to eat much but I just let her explore. She’s loves cucumber sticks the most as it helps with her teething.

3rd April baby here too 🥰 some days she’ll have a couple of spoons/mouthfuls other days will eat it all. We’re doing a mix of traditional and BLW x

We’re doing a mix of purée and blw she will eat purées with blw she will eat some and then when she’s bored plays with it, I noticed she was getting something when her poos changes and today pop consisted of broccoli 🤣 x

4th April and she has one meal a day and it’s a form of veg puree with some of the veg to hold ages eat that way. I’m doing different veg daily to introduce lots of foods first. She eats several spoonfuls for example 1/3 of a mashed avocado

Thank you! My little girl didn't seem to be eating much at all until today. She is not a fan of being fed and purées, seems to only want actual foods she can hold so I guess I have to go just BLW (I started with a mix).

I've been doing a mix of mashed up food and finger foods too, but the mashed food I put it onto a spoon then hand her it and she seems to like feeding herself. I never offer much but she seems to eat most of the things she likes. We've tried a new food every day, so far she's had banana, carrot, parsnip, swede, sweet potato, brocoli, butternut squash, blueberries amd avocado.
