How are you finding the balance for weaning and making your own dinner?

I’m just wondering how everyone else is doing with feeding baby food at dinner time but also trying to cook yourself dinner. I wanted to try eat with her but it proofed to be a real challenge trying to multitask everything. I think it’s gonna have to be late dinner for the parents going forward 😅 unless anyone has any good tips

Only started today - so it was just some cucumber as we sat and had ours.

I've just been giving my girl a new food a day before she has her last nap, then do my dinner while she is napping

We do blw when we have dinner so she can eat/play with what I give her whilst I eat my dinner in peace 😅 or I tend to have breakfast and she has dinner or I completely forget to eat myself and just feed the baby 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ x

We're doing a mix of purees and dinner food. He's sitting in the kitchen with me while I cook and then I move him to the dining table eat half my dinner while he has the finger food or just plays with his spoon and water cup then one I've eaten most of mine in giving him a few spoonfuls which he seems to prefer to feeding himself but I'm doing a few loaded spoons and he enjoys that too so I get chance to eat. I've fed him earlier in 2 occasions so far as my husband was cooking and he takes forever and little man was staying to get tired but I prefer is to eat together

I haven't started just yet. But dinner time is going to be difficult so it's going to be the last one we do. But when we do she will eat first while I have a snack or something and then we will eat because she falls asleep usually when our dinner is ready
