Frozen foods

I want to start off by saying that I cook and make 90% of my baby’s food, so I don’t want to hear any of that thou holier than me cause you raise your own chickens and shit. That’s great and awesome and I admire you if you do, but I’m a scrunchy mom that feeds as clean as I can within my limits but doesn’t worry about the occasional microwave meal. Anyways, I want to have some frozen foods that are healthy but still easy to just throw in the microwave or oven on days where I just need to feed baby while I do chores. I saw at Target that they have brands like KidsFresh, Dr Praegers, and Veggies Made Great muffins. I picked up a few different things for baby to try but what are your thoughts on the ingredients and experience with baby’s responses to them? Any recommendations for other brands or stores? TIA!

You can make bigger batches of whatever you do make and freeze it? Sweet potatoes, chicken. I heard just have baby eat whatever you are eating 🤷‍♀️ good luck. I've heard of Little Spoon and Nurture Life for delivery

Honestly I make them normal ass, processed ass frozen food all the time 😅 don't feel any judgement or pressure for how you choose to feed your own family. No body has your budget, preferences, and kids. We all gotta do what we gotta do

I'm not super strict in not doing low sodium or low sugar when I do frozen because it's not that often we have it and sometimes if it's the only thing my kid will eat that day I'm just happy she's eating. Ironically I've found a lot of the stuff marketed towards toddlers and kids can have more sugar and salt so it's a losing battle. Feed your kid without guilt because at the end of the day fed is best even past infancy.

I love the steamer bags of veggies!

As mom who poor and ill a lot I do what I can but I’m not gonna be judge because I know he fed. We do our best and I make sure try our best to get him more healthy options and more well balanced food but I am doing my best as ftm with chronic illnesses

As someone who survived off of frozen meals while pregnant because I didn’t know how to cook stouffers Mac and cheese is so so so so good. It is the only Mac and cheese I like at this point. We add broccoli to it

@Dianna I definitely do! But something quick and easy is sometimes just what I need in the moment lol

@Kylee true! I grew up on uncrustables and kid cuisine and I haven’t grown a third arm yet so

@Chrissy I noticed that too, I’m guessing because that’s how they get kids to want more of it. I think that’s where balance is important, cause they’ll eat it eventually but how much of it is the difference

@Shylar fed is best! I don’t care if nagging Nancy feeds her kids organic grass fed stardust infused milk, as long as my child is happy, safe and healthy at the end of the day I feel accomplished as a mommy and that’s what matters

@Lizzie that was my go to in college!

Tyson chicken fries or some frozen fish sticks with steamed veggies and sweet potatoes fries is my go to quick frozen food meals for my kiddos. 7-10 minutes in the air fryer then good to go. I get big bags from either Costco or Sam’s club.
