Baby Room Prep

Hello 👋 I keep getting the itch to buy baby items and am already thinking of our living space and what we would change for our baby. My partner thinks it's a bit soon 😅 When do you think you'd start preparing a room/space at home or purchase baby items?

I would wait at least until your second echo before you purchase stuff. First trimester is too early. Personally I am to make purchases in the second/third trimester. I would aim to have everything ready by 32-34 weeks.

I'm 9 weeks along, first pregnancy. I've always wanted a child and have always obsessed over when my time would come so I already have a small bin of clothes I've collected over the years for a boy or girl. Asides from that, my husband and I are moving into a bigger apartment in December and the only new things I've bought recently, were a onsie set that I used to surprised my husband with when I found out the good news and a baby book. Other then that we plan to wait until we have our intimate gender reveal and are in our new place with the baby's room so I can plan accordingly. By that point I'll be in my 2nd trimester. 🙂

Second trimester seems to be the key time! I'm nearing there, but I have been TTC for a few years, first pregnancy, so I'm itching to start collecting things 🫣
