Firstly, if he's making messes, he needs to be the one responsible for cleaning them. It's great you have a good sex life! That does change my answer. If he was neglecting your sex life/needs and only masturbating, it obviously causes issues. Masturbation is completely normal and healthy to do, even in relationships. Sometimes you just need 'me' time and don't want to involve another person or don't have the effort to. Obviously everyone has their own reasons for either masturbating or not but if it's not affecting his day to day life or your sex life, I wouldn't be mad.
