Meal ideas

What’s everyone’s baby’s fav meals? I’m finding it all very stressful and overwhelming to think of good meals, there is so much pressure on social media about giving these young baby’s such fancy meals which is making me feel like a bad mum

Food before one is just for fun, not all babies need huge or fancy meals before they turn one, do whats right for your baby and you’ll be the best mum your baby could ask for xx

My baby loves veg+potato the most and pasta so I alternate different veg and between sweet potato/potato, slowly been introducing meat but only have done meatballs so far and then different pasta sauces 🤣

My baby loves an omelette, and you can throw in anything you have to hand e.g. cherry tomato chopped up small, some mushrooms (fried for a minute before adding the egg), peas (squashed), leftovers.

My kid had melty sticks and blueberries for lunch 😂

If it’s no/low salt and he can safely eat it, I’ll give my little man same as what we have. For example tonight he had meatball pasta and I just chopped it up very small and he ate it with his hands 😂 if our dinner isn’t suitable I’ll just give him picky stuff any fruit/veg whatever we have and he can pick up himself. Like the girls above say anything before 1 is just for fun xx

My little one enjoys porridge for breakfast, along with some sticks of banana. I sometimes stir peanut butter into the porridge (no salt, smooth). He also likes greek yogurt with raspberry.

You really don’t have to do anything fancy unless you’re going to keep that up! She has Porridge or weetabix & fruit purees for breakfast. Tried scrambled egg but not a fan. For dinner I try to do some kind of meat/ fish, carb & veg just like you would try and eat a balanced meal. So chicken, mash & carrot mashed with a splash of milk or salmon, potato & brocolli, tomorrow is red lentil and spinach. Dessert is 1/3 banana, yoghurt or baby biscotti

we love doing a cottage pie, pasta bolognese and steak, veg & rice x

@Jo I love this! We don’t do lunch, she’s not a big eater even though she’s a big girl haha. We start the day with porridge and some blueberries after, then a bottle an hour later.. lunch is a fruit pouch and a melty snack, followed by a bottle an hour later, then dinner is a veg puree or a lumpy mash (not so keen yet) with a yogurt and melty puff and then bottle before bed! Just very basic and easy 🤷🏻‍♀️

My baby doesn't like anything except yoghurt and fruit puree.

Thankyou ladies, these reply’s have defo helped. My anxiety is really bad at the moment and I’m over stressing a lot of things and just doubting myself quite a bit xx
