Wedding recommendations

Not really baby related, but our 1 year old will be at our wedding! We are getting married near to Bristol, and other than the venue haven't sorted anything. Wondered if anyone has got married locally and has any recommendations? From make up to florists to making the wedding child & baby friendly! Thanks ❤️

Congratulations! If your child going to a nursery then you could ask if any of the staff would like extra work and do a spot of childcare on the day, that way everyone can relax and your child is looked after someone familiar. I went to a wedding recently that had lots of children and there was a dedicated play space corner which was brilliant during speeches and slow moments. I loved my photographer Simon withyman, he does family shoots during non wedding season too so is great with children. His insta is simonwithymanphoto

Congratulations! We loved all our suppliers, our photographer was Becky Weir (she specialises in candids and outdoorsy venues), the Wilde Bunch flowers (which were absolutely beautiful but not a cheap option, I felt strongly about flowers 😂), Epic caterers (our friends still rave about the food all the time!) and the wedding players as the DJ (very reasonable and were very receptive to rock/ metal playlist)

I got married nearly 8 years ago but my hair was done by Kelly Murphy and I loved it. kmurphy.bespokehair@gmail.com And my gorgeous make up was done by Emily beautybyemilyfaith@hotmail.co.uk

I used Tiger lily in Stoke Gifford for my flowers. Katie who runs it is lovely and really knowledgeable. Definitely recommend

I’m a wedding florist! Please feel free to have a look and see if I’m your style (Flowers by Imogen). I use all Bristol/Somerset grown flowers ♥️ we also are going to have an almost 1 year old at our wedding, I think we’re going to get a wedding specific childminder for the day!

I'm a nanny who does lots of ad hoc wedding and event nannying too! I'm not sure if you've considered something like that. I'm due my baby in January and taking some time off so probably can't help but if you are interested in something like that then feel free to message me and I can always put you in touch with some other wedding nannies. We will have our own child when we get married and will definitely have a wedding nanny, even if just for the evening so we can relax 😌
