Potty training on Saturday!

We decided last month that we were going to try and potty train our little boy this Saturday! We’ve got all the potty inclusive toys and books which we have been encouraging him to sit on the potty with! Which he has been whenever we’ve needed to change him! And he now says poo poo, or eeeeee pointing at his nappy!! We also have been giving stickers for when he does go on the potty! For those who have took the leap what do I expect? Lots and lots of accidents? Any tips and tricks?

Following this for help too! In the same boat but too scared to start officially!

I need the answer to this too. Struggling to get my daughter to poo on the toilet/ potty. She will hold on and hold on, going to and from the potty/ toilet like a yo-yo. As soon as you put a nappy on to put her to bed she poos. Not sure whether I need to just get rid of the nappy other than bed time and hope we get there quickly?

@Sana it’s definitely scary hahaha tomorrow for us and I’m definitely thinking omg what’s going to happen xx

@Kirsty I’m worried my boy will do this!! And there’s no advice out there 🤪 other than make it a good environment to poo? Like what? Hahaha!! Xx

@Kirsty our little girl was the same for about 3 weeks then it clicked and she hasn’t pooped in her bedtime nappy since. We trained in July and she’s been clean for over 2 months now but we still use the nappy for sleep as it’s never been dry.

Also I’d recommend the Oh crap potty training book xx

Super thank you I will take a look at that book.

So my boy gave him self tummy ache because he refused to poo 🤪 xxxx
