Aldi’s Wooden Toy Event

I’m on my way now, last year my Aldi had it all in for a couple of weeks after so I’m hoping todays the same! Maybe I shouldn’t get my hopes up though 😂

Oh no, don't say that! 😂 I went to get my little one the wooden crane set for his birthday. I'll hopefully go this evening.

Was there when it opened to get a play kitchen. Manager said they only had 4 in. All gone in 5 mins. Thankfully managed to get one

I’m finishing work at 1 and really hoping there’s something left! I want one of the climbing frames!

I got some things but others were just gone. Mums everywhere!

I got what I wanted, but wasn’t going for anything big. Only thing I missed was the slow cooker. Just checked Vinted and someone has it on there for £30 🙄 Resellers are so annoying

@Soumaya well done! I missed the circus train set and the submarine activity board, amazing you got it! I got the fire engine, car transporter, doughnuts and cake for her shop and dolls house furniture.

I managed to get her a wooden pizza set, some wooden groceries and some biscuits for her birthday. I really wanted one of the fridges but of course they’d all gone! If I’d know people take this literal, I would have asked her dad to drop madam into nursery 😭 Had to rush back to work from home after or I would have popped over to another Aldi to check!

@Chloe would have loved the kettle/tea set! I saw an air fryer one too which looked good in someone’s trolley but was obvs too late 🥲 Mate people are a joke. So distasteful. They should actually try and report & ban the resellers.

@Shana I discovered this last year and the resellers online were crazy! Like £15 minimum for the £4 car I missed in the set. I was looking for the fridge too for her kitchen and shop, always next year though. It’s getting more popular xx

@Sarah same here! I was a bit too late jumping in the bandwagon last time but was a little more prepped this time around. Some really good bits for amazing prices. It’s honestly really bad. I just think that’s all that people might be able to afford or look forward to & then you have people take the piss. I get first come, first serve to an extent but it’s just morally wrong.

@Karina as in the one near the Saver Centre, that’s literally where I went! Is that where you went to? What time did you manage to get down there?

@Sarah I’m chronically online, especially on Tik Tok 😭 the super mummy bloggers have been raving about for weeks

@Sarah people have been posting it on tik tok and instagram. Plus you can look on the website a checkout what “special buys” they have coming up Lidl have a wooden toy event next Thursdays I’ve seen. Not as good a Aldi’s one but some decent toys.

@Shana yeah hun I was there about 10ish. They were all on the side of the middle isle at the bottom. They were restocking at the time I was in there.

@Shana there were no climbing frames but i don’t think they’d had them in the first place, i live in a small town and i think we miss out on some of the best special buys! I got her a few stocking filler gifts though ☺️

@Sarah that looks pretty decent. I’ve just found out that it runs over the 17th to the 23rd so not all the items will be in shelves as an FYI

I popped in and got a few bits I wanted but I didn’t want any of the big/pricier bits anyway and most of those had gone but there were people with massive trolley fulls, people on the phone face timing people

@Josie yeah people had shed loads in their trolleys. There were a couple of women struggling to put all of their bits in their trolleys.

At those prices you might as well buy the branded kitchens like Le Toy Van and Little Dutch. Aldi is great cause it’s cheap but the resell prices are criminal for what they are. If you are considering that spend buy something officially and let these resellers end up with this stuff in the garages unsold.

@Sarah exactly! The Aldi stuff is cute but it’s mostly appealing for the price, there are cuter toys out there

Also guys if you have missed anything Asda do a great wooden range which is the same price if not cheaper and lidls toy event is next Thursday lots of similar things and if your part of their bonus scheme it’s cheaper

@Shana I tried this but as the price was so high above retail I couldn't do it as I could only make an offer so far below what they want. So I messaged them saying they're greedy instead 😂

Nope got nothing I wanted 😭 I only wanted the tea set and fruit/veg to kit my little boys kitchen out for Christmas. Seen loads for sale on vinted for silly money! X

So disappointed, both Aldi's wiped clear by the time I got there after work today. It's rubbish if you can't be there when they open.

i didnt even get a chance the place had adults running and pushing for these items, so i just left i was also with my son so was definitely not getting involved in all that nonsense. I just hope I get the chance to get the bluey chair this time, it will be back in stock on November 7th if anyone wanted to know x

@Shana no, someone asked while we were looking. I managed to get a fire engine for my boy but I'm really gutted that I can't get him the crane because I know he would've loved it. Some #*$^ is selling it on eBay for £55 😡

@Emma if your on instagram check out mamaloveshighstreet they’ve put up all of Lidl’s wooden toys for next Thursday. They have fruit and veg sets and teas sets for £9.99

@Chloe oh I’m so sorry 🥺 it sounds like people were feral with so much of the stock, doesn’t surprise me that there’s nothing left. Sorry £55??? Aldi really need to regulate these events and stop allowing multiple purchases.
