We’ve been weaning since 4 months (hospital advisement - severe reflux which caused choking) and you’d think now at 7 months we wouldn’t be struggling but we are 😂 Up until a few weeks ago, my baby wouldn’t touch anything except porridge and fruit puree so it’s been a lot of stoping weaning and trying again a couple of weeks later. I introduced melty sticks and rusks for him to eat and that was a game changer. Reintroduced puree and that was the same. He then started to take interest in my food (not dads, just mine) and started to try to take the food off my plate. I then started to make him the same food as us just to see and he eats it all! We’re not fully BLW yet (we are moving towards it slowly) because I’m scared so I’m spoon feeding him small amounts of mashed food and he’s loving it! X
Started BLW when he turned 6 months and was showing signs of readiness. It's been great :) but the baby is coming from a family of Foodies
All babies are different, some need more time. My lo is the same she won’t open her mouth, I’ll trick her and then if she likes it she will open her mouth if not just spits it out and plays with it. They will get there it’s just so new to them they need to figure all tastes and textures before they’re comfortable 😃
