This is with everything I say I tell her to come sit down for food and itā€™s like she donā€™t hear me? Can I just tell you that I saw your daughter isnā€™t even 2 years old yet.. I wouldnā€™t push all that stuff on her! Toddlers learn in their own time! Some toddlers arenā€™t even ready for potty training until they are 3.. make learning a fun experience.. donā€™t have expectations.. read books to her and donā€™t expect her to memorize it all..

Hey mommy, my best tip is the as Adrianna. Sheā€™s so young, giver her time to learn. ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ my baby is 2 and sheā€™s still in diapers because sheā€™s not ready and thatā€™s fine šŸ„°

My nearly three year old has only just grasped potty training. When they're ready, it just clicks so I honestly wouldn't worry

Yeah potty training didn't happen until after 2.5 and now at just about 3 he's finally really understanding for day time. hell my son wasn't even talking really yet before 2šŸ˜‚

My nearly 3 year old jjst jas to crack night time to complete potty training but ive noticed her pull ups have been dry the last 6 nights. However, counting and abc isn't her strong point. Now I know she can count 1, 2 ,3 and say A,B,C but if I try to get her to do it I get 1 ,6. Or nothing. I have to really prompt her to say I love you because she doesn't say it and even with prompting she's hesitant but get her to built a climbing frame from her toys and ahes all over itšŸ˜‚

If it reassures you at all the difference in my toddler from 18 months to 2 years is wild! She can talk so much more and understand so much now! We tried potty training and stopped as the same happened. We will try again I've heard one day they'll just clock and understand l. Keep going you're doing great x

@Emily thank you so much! Has made me feel much betterā¤ļø

In my experience, if she's resisting potty training so much, she isn't ready. Take a break and try again. I tried with my son at 2 years 3 months - disaster. Tried again at 3 and it was stress free. My niece was doing the same as your daughter and has only just potty trained recently but it had to be on her terms (shes 4 in Dec). At yout daughter's age, my son could barely say any words, let alone count. I think you are expecting too much, unless she is really advanced

Take the pressure off potty training. Exposure is great, but lower your expectations on what success looks like. There are so many "3 day" methods out there, but if you don't have the time to solely commit to it, put on pull ups to catch the accidents and praise any successful trips to the potty. Focus on functional language. They academic language will come with time. Again, take the pressure off. Check out SpeechSisters on Instagram for some tips on how to support language learning.
