A lot of places will have in their contract that you can't have a child in your care while on shift so keep that in mind
Have you tried using your laptop for an extended length of time with your baby around? My baby is 12m and ever since she’s been able to move it’s absolutely impossible to use my laptop around her as she just wants to smash the buttons on it. If I was you I’d look into nannying as some families are happy for you to bring your own child along
@Elizabeth my baby is still a newborn so i was trying to see if it’d be possible to work with him in my care still. If it doesnt work out, i can always call my MIL to come over to help!
@Bridget he’s still a newborn and ive been using my laptop lots as i have a side business of cleaning houses, but since moving to a more rural area i have only one regular customer ATM
@Aggs ive been a manager for the last 2+ years in retail, plus its been at the same retail company for over 7 years with lots of administrative experience.
a lot of companies now are steering away from 100% remote and are doing hybrid instead, like 1/2 days in the office and 3 at home or something similar. i was reading an article the other day about this, that companies are doing this to improve employee satisfaction and bonding with team members etc and general collaboration etc. it might be worth when searching to also search for hybrid work too, if this is something that’s possible for you x
@Hannah ive tried looking at hybrid too, but im still struggling to find one. i swear ive applied to like 75 jobs in the last two weeks 🥺

The job market is so difficult people are literally applying to hundreds of jobs and still struggling to find work. I hope you find something that works for you, I'm gonna be in the same boat at some point.
