Yup. Currently 7 months pregnant just moved back in with my mom because I had nowhere else to go. We will get through this

I had this at the start of the year except I wasn’t pregnant I had 3 kids with him though, I ended up moving out and starting my life from scratch, best decision and the most scariest but so worth it for the happiness I now feel! You’ll get there 💪🏻😊

Its crazy how many similar situations people are in! I dont want to sell the house , he’s said i can live there for two years, but its a constant reminder of him and i think down the line he will make my life hard ! Should i sell and try get somewhere to rent as i would never be able to afford a morgage on my own! Thanks also ladies hope your both okay!

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I can never believe men's cruelty tbh, leaving you pregnant with a child and putting a timeline on you living in the house while he happily leaves all the childcare and housework to you. It's awful. My advice would be to firstly make sure he pays you enough maintenance and if necessary get legal advice about that, contact and the house. Secondly, depending on whereabouts you live, size of your home, your income, savings, and how much your mortgage is, you may be better off staying put. If you might get housing benefit etc though then yeh renting instead of taking on the mortgage makes sense. If you have a spare room another option could be to rent that out on a full time basis or to language students during the summer etc. Get advice from CAB, a solicitor, Gingerbread charity, etc. Good luck and you're really not alone, we are a big club and we're pretty incredible xx

@Stacy He can't make you sell the house until the children leave. However, if you can't afford to pay the mortgage alone, then that does force your hand slightly. You can usually get half an hour with a solicitor for free. Do that and get some advice on what he can and can't do. It might be that selling and taking your lump sum is the best option, but you need to be sure. Also, discuss maintenance with him. It's best to try and do it amicably but you can ask for help from the CMS if he is refuses to pay. Sorry you're going through this 😔

Going thru the same issue. I have a 1 year old and expecting in March. I feel like abandoned SAHM and he wants to sell the home. I honestly think pregnancy tho gives me clarity on what i want in my life. Maybe selling the home and getting income from the sale would be better.

Thanks everyone! Ive decided ill live in the house till the kids are in school as he can’t make me leave till their 18 really, and dont think he wants anything in regards going to court which will see him paying till then, atleast i have the chance then to sort my life out a bit better! As i wont be able to work full time at the moment or after maternity as all the other costs are ridiculous! Its crap how they turn things so quick! And annoys me more that he’s already planned a date and on these dating sites after a day of breaking up! Complete and utter pig!

Helo o Caerdydd! Originally from around Caernarfon too! So sorry you’re going through this. I’m in a slightly similar situation too. Was with my ex husband for 10 years - married last October and he left me in August for someone from work whose 11 years younger than him 🤦🏼‍♀️ Now 31 weeks with my first - a baby girl 💜 I went through the same dilemma of what to do with the house. I decided to put the house on the market and going to buy a house in Bridgend that will be slightly cheaper with the equity from the house. I’d love to keep the house but I wouldn’t be able to afford the mortgage myself. I was hoping to have gotten the house sold by now so that I would be in a new place by the time she’s due but not looking likely now. One other option I have is that if I haven’t found somewhere and I’ve sold the house I would move back with my mum in north wales for my Mat leave. As if pregnancy isn’t hard enough you’ve got all this shit to deal with so I feel you wanting to scream!!

Hi! Awful situation! Ive decided im going to stay here till after my mat leave , then look at other options maybe , as i want to make sure were safe for the next year atleast! Bloody men sometimes … 😣 x

Why are men such pigs?! All over the world they are pigs (I'm in USA). There are a few good ones here and there, so hard to find!! Very lucky when you do....
