What did you use for the chicken alternative? I’m struggling to find one suitable for my girl xx

@Laura I used meatless farm chicken breast.

Yum! What is the "chicken" made of ? We're in Australia but the alternative meat we have here don't look like that and are mostly just gluten, wondering if there's anything else out there

Hi hun I wouldn't offer this to a kid. The ingredients are not healthy and nutritious enough for a growing kid brain. It's mostly soy or pea with inflammatory seed oils. The best vegan protein you can make at home without additives would be soaked beans and chickpeas etc cook with cheese or broth.

@Amandine it's made with gluten and pea protein.

@Nemra Like I said above. I've done my research and know how to feed my child. Yes, Chickpeas and Beans would be healthier but my 18 month old doesnt like the texture and I'd rather she eat this than nothing at all. She doesn't have meat alternatives every day and she certainly gets plenty of veg and fruit. She takes a multivitamin and iron supplement daily and is hitting all milestones and growing at a healthy rate.

Hi Tara, for some ideas, have you tried tempeh? It’s fermented soy beans and high in protein for vegan options, if cooked properly they’re amazing 😁
