Cooking

If you’re doing BLW, are your babies eating the same food as you? If so, are you cooking without salt for for all the family or how are you doing it? I’m tired of cooking two separate foods every day for lunch and dinner but we eat with salt and I don’t want my baby to have salt…

Yes, he is eating what we eat. I just don't put salt in when cooking. You can always put salt on top of yours when you're eating.

Yep just add salt afterwards!

I cook one meal for everyone, and baby eats what we eat. I’ve changed from seasoning with salt as I go, to doing it at the end. I cook the meal, pull out babies portion/s and then season and cook for another 5 minutes for the rest of us. I’m a big fan of batch cooking as well. Make a big pot of food for baby and then split into silicone ice cube trays and freeze. Then I can cook for everyone else and just pop a couple of cubes out of the freezer for baby some days.

Yes, we had to stop cooking with salt pre baby, when my husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure. You'll get used to just seasoning your own when you've dished up x

Yes, eats whatever we eat. But to be honest, I mostly use our normal stock cubes, gravy, seasonings etc. which do contain salt, and then I just add more to taste when dishing up or after I’ve removed his portion.
