5 week old boy

I am hoping to start EC this week (been so tired that I haven’t noticed any cues). Sounds like the best way to start is hold him over the toilet/sink before and after every feeding ? And hope for the best? Ha

The top hat potty! Helped me so much with EC for the wee ones. I started with a naked observation to find baby's cues.

I personally just did it at every diaper change as an easy catch, "observed" him peeing on the changing table a few times and was like ok I can just do it this way. It worked great until he started walking then he was refusing as he got super active, but I didn't change a poopy diaper for months! Was amazing.

These are her easy catches, this is a great resource if you don't already know!

@Grace oh wow these are great!!! Thank you!!

@Anna I just ordered one!!! Thank you!!

I started by going diaper free on a pee pad during tummy time for a couple weeks. Every time she went I'd note her cues and make a "pssss" sound. Then I started with easy catches only (diaper changes, wake ups, etc) and made that noise before I wanted her to go and as she was going. Now (8 months) she automatically goes when I make the sound, is very vocal about her cues, and keeps her diaper dry until I sit her on the potty and make the sound. I've used the ikea green potty since the beginning and will probably never have to buy another potty because it's small enough for holding a newborn over and big enough for a toddler to comfortably sit on

@Amira *orders pee pads instantly* Thank you!!! 😊
