Chicken pox

My 5yo has chicken pox, what to do next? Do I take her the to the GP? Will they even prescribe her anything?

You don't need to take her to the gp because it will just heal itself in around 5-7 days. They won't be able to prescribe anything because it's just a viral infection. There's a few things you can get to make it easier for them though. Poxclin is really good and calamine lotion is good for drying them out to scab them up quicker. Also luke warm baths with bicarbonate of soda helps with the itching. Hope they feel better soon! X

@Jayde thank you 🙏

Bathe them in head and shoulders CLASSIC. Avoid camomile as that dries the skin and causes more itching.

My daughter has it right now. We’ve just been giving her baby piriton for the itch and calpol. She’s day 6 now since the spots appeared and she’s itched none and they are scabbing up well. Just keep them covered so they aren’t tempted to itch.

Piriton paracetamol If needed we used poxclin helped. Hope she is better soon
