Panic attacks

Hi all, just wondered if anyone else is absolutely terrified? I’m so excited for little boy to come, and can’t wait to meet him but I’m also absolutely terrified - we don’t have any savings, maternity pay is terrible, nursery fees are high, all this keeps going through my head and feels like it’s ruining my pregnancy a bit because all I do is worry! Anyone else just living in a constant state of fear for the future?

I hear you! I think it's part of the game...I constantly worry but them I see other parents with similar or more difficult situations that have their babies and are happy, so of they can do, we can do it too!

I completely get it! This is number 2 for us and we’re paying a fortune in childcare costs for our daughter. She’ll stop when I’m on maternity and then when I go back to work she’ll be 3 so going to nursery for the free hours but we’ll then have to pay for the next one to be at childminders so not saving anything. Kids are super expensive but as long as they’re fed, got clothes & are loved that’s all that really matters. Don’t worry about all the material things and just focus on baby growing x

I feel the exact same. Can’t wait for her to come but have so much financial anxiety

@Aleena it’s awful isn’t it - I want to enjoy it but at the same time all I can do is panic

I need to get a new position at work as my contract finishes in December so I can get my maternity pay but who’s gonna hire someone who’s going on maternity leave 2 months later… ugh so stressed
