You can take a cheap ferry ride along the Yarra costs like $15 adult and kids free. Trip is about an hr but coffee and tea served on board. The Melb museum on Nicholson st has a whole toddler sensory room that’s amazing but that needs be booked for 50m sessions- on their website. Stroll along the alleys in the city and you come across lots of graffiti art on the walls, lots of cafes are kid friendly or have outside tables, esp the ones in the lil alleyways like Flinders lane etc. Walk along the Birramung Marr (the river across Flinders st station) and there they have a big playground and kids activities sometimes on. Around the corner is Federation square which always have something on on the weekends - go there during Christmas and the whole place is lit w lights, it’s gorgeous. Close to the city (like 15m away) is Collingwood farm. Oh Queen Vic market is open on certain days and has a Wednesday night market. Across the road is a kids library (Narrm Ngarrgu) and has outdoor play area
