Midwife

hey, I’m pretty far in my pregnancy and pretty behind on everything. My goal was to have like a natural birth with a midwife and Doula, but I didn’t start my research up until this week. I wanted to know if anybody has any experience with a midwife in the Charlotte or surrounding Charlotte areas that are covered by insurance specifically Aetna

Midwife’s should be covered.. I have united health.. they actually covered a doula in my area.. you’d have to call your insurance

Are you wanting to do a natural birth in a hospital or at home? I know my insurance BCBS covers midwives if you give birth in a hospital but won’t cover them if you give birth at home

@Elsa hospital/birthing center

@Victoria look into Novant Presbyterian, that’s where I’m giving birth and all the midwives I’ve dealt with have been amazing! The staff there is great and they have so many resources for moms

I delivered at novant Ballantyne and there were midwives there as well, they also have birthing tubs if you’d like but I do remember there being some rules about it. You can do a tour beforehand to ask all your questions

I second Elsa .. I loved giving birth there twice with the midwives I had wonderful experiences
