I mean most babies do cry when they want to get out of their cot, it’s their way of telling you as unfortunately they can’t talk! If they’re crying they could be trying to tell you something? Maybe they are bored and you could try to rotate toys, play in different rooms move around the house etc! As for going to the toilet if they get just leave them for a few mins it won’t do them any harm as long as they’re safe whilst you do so! Learning independence is also good!
Apologies if I am misunderstanding what you wrote. If your little one cries as soon as they wake up there could be a few things going on, only you would know if any of these apply: could they be hungry, cold, uncomfortable in their nappy after the night? If not, it could be separation anxiety, they'll grow out of this. At this age my understanding is that their behaviour is very simplistic, they won't understand that their behaviour is rewarded. Cry it out is a sleep training method, this doesn't apply here. We all have to leave out little ones for a few moments while we do something quickly, none of us are bad moms for it. I wouldn't leave my little one to cry until she stops, she won't understand the connection between me giving her attention when she stops, she will only know that she asked for my attention for so long she had to stop because I wasn't coming. Maybe tells us a bit more
They more dramatic, I felt it too We have mirror in our bedroom, I hold my baby and show him I holding him, talk to him like looks who s that mommy holding you, who s waking up, and a bit bouncing, he feel better by that
Hey, would it be possible to change where they are? If the cot makes them unhappy, what about on a playmat on the floor?
