Going though labour alone

Has anyone else done this? I'm being induced due to gestational diabetes and baby needs to come at 38 weeks due to my sugar levels...however I have a toddler and our childcare isn't going to be in the country so dad will be staying at home... I'm not exactly scared to go alone but more curious if anyone else has been through it alone?

There’s absolutely nobody at all 100% not possible to find someone to stay with your little? I haven’t done this but I really really wouldn’t want to if I’m being totally honest. Having no one to represent you and advocate for what your original needs and wants are is not the best. I don’t think you’re in the US so I’m not sure what yall call it there but do you have the funds to hire a doula? At least you would have her with you while husband is home? Honestly, she would be much more helpful anyways. I’m sure everything will go fine. But if there was an emergency, it’s hard to make decisions while you’re in that much pain and such an emotional state. These would be my biggest concerns. Of course dad having to wait several hours to see baby as well but that’s farther down on the list for me.

i’ve been through it alone, it’s not as bad honestly! i had my cousin and bestfriend and amazing nurses

but i do recommend having your birth plan. 2 copies one for you and one for the drs and nurses

The midwifes will look after you the whole way, they are like your little baby family in there and they won't leave your side 🥰 also if you are on your own get them to take pics for you or take a tripod. You'll do great! Sending all the luck
