Weaning

My 6 month old is having puréed veggies and some melty puffs in the day, but I see alot of videos of mums giving their babies toast, eggs etc. My baby isn’t that sturdy at sitting up yet, so do I stick to purees for now until she can sit up unaided? Then introduce more solid food? X

I totally think it's personal preference. I've been giving my little girl some veg sticks and she tried a little bit of toast yesterday. Just do whatever you're comfortable doing

i gave my baby the purées until she could sit up by herself and then started giving her solids but i started weaning just a little bit before 6 months

I’ve gone full in with BlW, she’s had lasagne, fish pie, but that’s what I’m comfortable doing x

Follow what you feel comfortable doing. If they don't have some whole foods for another week or so until they're a bit more stable it's fine. My baby turned 6 months on the 6th and we haven't started yet as she's had a cold and been stoppinng to breath during bottles (she leans really quiet far forward when in a seat, so I'm like maybe not yet).

It's whatever your comfortable with . My little one has had veggies and toast so far xxx

@Emily ah ok! I just feel so bad, like am I doing enough?? I’m giving her bits of fruit etc and the baby crisps and porridge but as she can’t sit up unaided yet, I don’t feel giving her more “solid” food is needed yet. I only give her maybe breakfast and puree for dinner

All I am giving my little girl is tastes at the moment and I'm doing baby led so most of the time she just plays with it and probably eats like 5% of what I give her. It's literally just tastes this early on remember milk is there main source of nutrition still
