Midwife Rage!

So my midwife has cancelled 5 appointments in the time I have been pregnant. Today really took wee wee though as walked up to hospital to discover it was cancelled....ask she's sick (again.) Claimed they called and left voice mail, none there. Claimed they text bur no text either. At what point is it acceptable to loose it

I requested a new midwife and the receptionist was so bloody rude! Don't get me wrong I wasn't in the best of moods but rude wasn't required

Maternity care matters. They should be getting someone to fill in if she isn't there! Not repeatedly cancelling! Hope your okay xx

I would write to PALS and formally request a new midwife. Cancelling 5 appointments is unacceptable and is not giving the right maternity care that you need.

I’ve had crap maternity care too-I’ve only had 2 appointments and haven’t seen the same person. Last appointment she didn’t even introduce herself-she dipped my urine and that was it. Waste of time. I’m flabbergasted! I’m 30 weeks and I’m an NHS worker too!

Poor practice by midwife,not owning to her duty of care I would put in a safeguarding concern…

Update: So today I had a conversation with one of the midwifery care leaders for my area. I informed her of my concerns and was assured they're extremely valid. Simple things had been missed and she's not happy. I have been placed under her directly now and she's truly different. We met today and I feel so much calmer. Ladies of you ever feel your midwife is neglecting you or your developing child I urge you speak up.
