Stressing on how to feed baby

I’ve heard so many different opinions/ I feel a prep machine will be easier but I’m worried it’s not the correct temp and about it getting mouldy? I would use the traditional kettle method but the waiting for it to cool down at 2am gives me anxiety when baby is screaming hungry 😅

I am defo thinking the nuby rapid cool for evenings tho- does this still need to be sterisilied?

You can pre make bottles & store them in the fridge for 24 hours 🙂. We did this & had no issues. Then just warm up when needed. We personally did use the microwave but depends how much you want to follow the rules 🤣🤫. Never had problems with it though. We used the nuby for when we were out. A lifesaver but yeah it does need to be cleaned & sterilised. We never had the prep machine and I don’t feel like I needed it & wouldn’t get one for next baby. But I know people had one from the beginning and loved it

Oh that’s handy to know about being able to pre make bottles! Are we not advised to warm them in the microwave then?🤣 thank you i think I’ll defo be using the nuby for throughout the night for the first few weeks, does it need to be sterilised after every use aswell and roughly how many bottles can you get out of one go? X

I’ve got the prep machine as it was recommended by a lot of people and I’ve been advised not to make bottles up in advance. We are all different though and what works for one might not work for the other

Nuby rapid cooler is a life saver! I use the hot shot method so no additional sterilising. I make 6oz bottles so I measure the water in the bottle, tip out 4oz into the cooler and leave 2oz in the bottle - add the formula to it and swirl to dissolve and then add the cooled 4oz. Makes a bottle in 2/3 minutes 🙂

My biggest tip is to always leave a fresh bottle with cool boiled water in, if you’re ever in a rush! So If you’re making say a 8oz bottle for example, put 2 oz boiling water (hot shot) with 8 scoops of ur powder, then add 6oz cool boiled water and shake. Then you’ll have a perfect temp bottle and no need for anything else x

I had a Nuby but i honestly never used it, if you put milk in it you have to clean it every time. I know people will just use it to cool boiled water fast but you may as well just pour it beforehand into a clean spare bottle and have that on the side. X

@Erin thank you! I wouldn’t put milk in I’d just use for water as it keeps it hot all night so I wouldn’t have to keep getting out of bed to make bottles. I’ve heard the prep machines go mouldy ect in places you can’t see so it puts me off a bit x

Yeah and I’ve heard babies have got sick due to the hot shot not being hot enough with the prep machines. So I personally would stay away from them! X
