Baby throws food from high chair

My 8 months old daughter throws food from her high chair she willingly throws that on the side of her high chair and then looks at it curiously. Sometimes she just smashes food in his finge4s and once she is done spoiling the food she wants to get up the high chair. What to do in this should I feed her Myself ? I have been showing her how to eat but it's not working

she's learning cause and effect, and experiencing the new textures (: this is a perfectly normal phase! you could definitely try picking up pieces of food and putting them to her mouth and feeding them to her. or see if she'll mimick you if you eat pieces off of her tray (or pretend to). make a big deal out of chewing and enjoying the food!

Completely normal , and to be expected , I’d let her eat herself , she will learn

Completely normal I’m afraid 😫 my 13 month old still does this

My 10 month old is the same, i heard they consume what they want within the first 10 minutes then the rest is play for them.

I would say feed her on your own

I did a post similar to this on first time moms the other month and sadly it's apparently normal lol Mine looks at me with a smug look on his face as he throws the food on the floor. The disrespect 😂

She’s just learning, I usually spoon feed my 9 month old but I’ve started recently to do some more finger foods and they end up everywhere but food before 1 is just for fun so no need to stress

When my son throws food on purpose repeatedly, I pause the tray time with it ( he's in a dining booster, we skipped the high chair).... Then return it after 10-15 seconds to a minute Now if he's dropping repeatedly and look like he's trying to push away, I take those things together as a sign that he's tired of being in his seat

Normal! My 13 month old still does it 🙃

I ignored food throwing for the most part or I said it looks like you’re all done. And then clean em up and start playing 👍

We now feed our LO in the kitchen so he can throw whatever he wants and he actually loves it and eats better when he could do that
