Has anyone used the Sneak peek gender test?

I’m feeling ill and I want to do something for fun to lift my spirits. So I thought it’d be cool to find out what gender it is. I’ve seen mostly positive reviews and some negative. Have you used the sneak peek gender test, if so what was your experience like, were the instructions clear, and how was customer service?

I personally haven’t but I’ve known 2 people to do the sneak peek at home test. Both of their results were wrong due to contamination 😅 it’s pretty difficult to do the at home without contaminating the sample which will result in an inconclusive or wrong prediction result. If you were to get an early detection gender test I’d do the one the OB/midwife provides in their office instead of an at home one so there’s less of a chance of contamination and wasted money. Editing to add one of them had a boy previously (10 months prior), test results said girl, ended up being another boy and she had to return a whole lot of stuff. If you wanna do it for fun go for it! I just wouldn’t buy anything gendered until it’s confirmed via ultrasound.

I did at 7 week. And was a correct result according to three scans. It’s very easy to contaminate the sample though and if you’ve had a previous pregnancy with a boy then you may still have remnants of their DNA in your system. If you follow the instructions to the tee (they are very clear) then you should be fine. It’s not hard to not contaminate the sample if you follow the instructions and clean the area you’re using extremely well.

I did it at 11 weeks with my second baby and it was correct. Just be very careful with contamination. Even the DNA from a male animal will make the results male!

I’ve done it but at a scan place so there’s less chance of contamination like you’d get doing it at home. Have my 20wk scan in 5wks which will hopefully confirm.

We went to CVS and then my hubby talked me out of it. It's like another surprise down the line so we opted to wait

It worked for me at 6 weeks
