Cows milk - how many bottles?

How many bottles are your little ones having a day that are now on cows milk? My little boy turned 1 last week and we were giving him 3 - 6oz in the morning, 6oz mid afternoon and 6oz before bed but he’s started refusing his mid afternoon bottle. Is it ok to go down to 2 bottles a day at 12 months? I think 12oz is the minimum they should be having and he does have dairy in food too!

The nhs website says at least 12oz or 2 portions of dairy food cheese, yogurt etc so that sounds fine 😊

Mine isn’t on cows milk but has 3 feeds as yours does, but of breastmilk. I think it’s absolutely fine to go down to 2 at this age. I’m waiting for my LO to drop his afternoon bottle and think it will be soon. I read they just need two portions of calcium, for example some yogurt and cheese during the day and then they don’t need milk.

My daughter has been having 2 bottles since 10 months. She wasn't finishing her afternoon bottle so that was her cue to drop it. She was still getting the recommended 400ml a day over 2 bottles, 180ml in the morning and 240ml at bedtime. Now she's turned 1 and having 120ml and 240ml (recommended to have 350ml daily, which includes dairy food).
