Combi feeding

My baby is now 6 months old and I exclusively breastfeed her and have done from birth. I’m thinking about introducing formula, to make it easier for when family or my partner looks after her. I’ve never liked pumping and that’s why I’m considering formula. For anyone who’s done this, what is your routine? I’m thinking about breastfeeding for the first morning and last feed at night (and through the night) but during the day feeding formula. Thanks

Hi! i’ve just started doing the same - I give my boy one bottle of formula before bed and it’s gone well! I started giving the tiny pre-made bottles as I had some in the house that i’d bought pre-birth, in case breast feeding didn’t work out. I’ve since upped it to 100mls and seeing how he goes and will probably increase it again! I breast feed him after the bottle still atm just to make sure he’s full before bed. I still breastfeed throughout the day and at night but will probably gradually add more formula probably in the morning? I hope it goes well for you! I was so worried he wouldn’t take it but it didn’t phase him at all!

We introduced 1 bottle before bed, it seems to be heavier and keeps her fuller for longer! I breastfeed during the night. Most mornings now she'll also have a bottle of formula but day time no real routine x

Jumping on here as I’m hoping to do the same but afraid of mastitis, if you only breastfeed in the morning won’t breast be really painful in the day when giving formula? Genuinely so puzzled with how to transition

I’m jumping on here too.. how did you get them to take a bottle?🙈

Hi, just wondering how you all got on and what formula you chose? I’m looking to introduce a bottle in the evenings
