Toys for second child?

What do you do for birthdays when the first one already has the toys you would buy? We have all the wooden jigsaws and toddler toys already so do you just get more creative or buy the stuff again like surely not??

Arts and crafts, activities to do, day out, play kitchen, toys/games they can share, car garage, play dough, clothes, shoes, etc

Thank you sorry i should have stated my son will be 1 and my daughter is 4! So toys for a 1 year old that arent the normal?? I feel like play dough and crafts are a bit older? Xx

Things to climb , my second girl is a mover unlike her older sister at this age! Looking at storage and a Ikea sensory table too x

Focus on different things. Sensory toys, play pretend toys, memberships or experiences.

I’d go for toys I didn’t get first time round or more “boy” based toys.

I was the same position found it so hard as we had everything and I had the same gap as you. Mine was a little girl so I just went to more girly type things like actual toys rather than the typical 1 year old stuff. Like little tea sets bags etc. have you looked at some of the Aldi wooden things? Little role play things or a play kitchen? Xx

@Alice oops sorry! I got safe paint for my little girl when she turned one and she loved it. You try sensory toys or touch and feel books, bubbles, outdoor toys, sand/water tray and as above toys you didn't get but looked at and "boyish" toys x

I honestly just watched videos of must have toys for 1 year olds and picked the toys I didn’t already have with my son. Plus more girly toys for my daughter. Plus a outdoor swing

We're hoping our daughter won't notice the return of some of her toys from when she was younger which we slipped away into storage and will be wrapped up ready to open by our son 😅

@Alex Genius! Lol- I also have a little guy who’s turning 1 this month & then another boy who’s 3.. We def don’t need anymore stuff, but I do have toys that are still packaged 😂

Just have fun :)
