@Yasmin spoon feeding
Its very normal for kids to have down time with their appetite. With my first born i almost went insane because he wouldn't eat. People kept telling me to relax, but I couldn't. He is now 5 and my daughter 3. The most important thing is that they stay hydrated. I also give them iron supplements when they have appetite down time, a dr overseas gave me this tip. It usually helps them to gain back their appetite faster. And I give them juice or milk or whatever they wish to eat. Keep offering different types of food and allow him to explore. Ensure he is always hydrated with water, juice or milk. Dont stress he will be ok. If he refuses to drink, you should take him to a paediatric dr asap. That could be a different issue altogether.
Completely normal. Milk (breastmilk or formula) is still their main source of nutrients until 1 anyway and they can take a little while to eat more. It can also take up to 20 tries of something to like it and their taste buds are constantly changing so it's worth repeating foods regularly.
It takes time to learn and needs lots of exposure. Keep trying or try BLW.
@Kristen I’d say try BLW.. my baby refused to be spoon fed from the start but loved real food x
Try BLW or give them a loaded spoon of puree. Or just put the puree on the tray. See how LO wants to eat
Are you spoon feeding or BLW?
