Holiday checklist

I am going abroad with little one (6 months) to Greece. Does anyone have a checklist on what to take there and to the airport as LO is fully formula fed and I was worried about security allowing through the water and formula bottles

I’m taking ready to feed bottles and click and collecting formula after security x

Also going in just less than 2 weeks time, haven’t been on holiday before with a baby so this list is just from advice and tips off Facebook group x

◦ Travel pram & pram fan ◦ Car seat ◦ Snoozeshade (plus) ◦ Pool float with shade ◦ Sun hat ◦ Swim hat ◦ Swim nappies ◦ Happy nappy ◦ Swim costumes ◦ Suncream ◦ Nappy cream ◦ Wet wipes ◦ Body wash / shampoo / body lotion etc ◦ Care kit/ Sucker / Calpol Sachets etc ◦ Teething gels / teethers ◦ Nappy bags ◦ Nappies ◦ Outfits ◦ Vests ◦ Sleepsuits long (for night) & short ◦ 1 tog ◦ Muslin cloths ◦ Towel ◦ Blanket ◦ Toys ◦ Bibs ◦ Ear defenders ◦ Dummy’s & dummy Steriliser ◦ Bottles ◦ Bucket for sterilising ◦ Milton tablets ◦ Nuby rapid cool ◦ Flask ◦ Formula ◦ Formula dispenser tubs ◦ Ready to feed formula ◦ Washing up liquid ◦ Bottle scrubber ◦ Rockit ◦ Baby carrier ◦ Travel cot sheets! ◦ Thermometer

I am not taking a pool float because someone I know bought one and said baby preferred to be in the pool with them and obviously they’re not in it for long. I’ve bought a blow up pool with sunshade instead so it can have a little bit of water in it (if I want) but also so I can put toys in there for baby to play in the shade rather than playing on a sun lounger as she rolls all over the place. I’ve also bought a blow up baby seat - so that I can wash baby in the shower, we don’t have a bath in the room at our hotel I have started weaning baby but only one meal a day - so I’m not sure what to do on holiday as I’m trying BLW. Whether to stop altogether or pack some pouches x

Bottles & formula for flight Use dispenser tubs Flask & nuby rapid cool Hot water - cafes will fill up flask for you in the terminals Can order milk to boots for collection - easier The 100ml liquid limit doesn’t apply to baby food, milk or sterlised water, provided that the total amount is no more than 1 litre. You may be asked to taste it for security reasons. Changing bag - Nappies, wipes, nappy bag, changing mat, spare clothes, dummy’s, toys.

We are going to Kos on Monday and I’ve got a list of pretty much everything Amy has said 😊 Taking all out formula through security because of the kendmil supply issues it hasn’t been available for click and collect for awhile. Will take cooled and boiling water for hot shot and top it all up before we get in the plane if needs be x

@Kristen I am also taking it through security for that reason too! Can’t even guarantee I can order kendamil to be collected from boots at this rate 😅 x

@Amy it’s rubbish isn’t it. I would also just stress that if I did order it that it wouldn’t arrive or only half would because of the supply issues so decided it’s not worth the headache 😂

I’m also going to pack a cooler outfit to change her into when we get to Kos Because she will likely be in something warmer for the plane because it’s a 6am flight. Also taking a change of clothes for us in case she is sick on us or poops though on to us (which has happened to me before 🫠😂)

@Kristen ohh that’s a good idea 🥰 we land late at night but I’m planning on doing that on the way back but the opposite way round (packing a warmer outfit inc jacket) as we land home at 1am 😅 & it will be much cooler in the UK

I've just come back from Kos with my toddler and 6month old. Everything you've said I completely agree with. Snoozeshade was so so useful and 100% recommend. If you plan to sling at all then maybe a larger Muslim that you can tie onto it to cover arms/ legs as otherwise will be directly in sun.
