Second baby!

I'm very early, around 4+2 weeks and I found out Sunday! We are very excited but I'm very nervous to tell my employer. I've only been in this job for 6 months and I don't feel like the news will go down well, despite it being a female dominated team. Has anybody got any advice? 😅

Have you passed probation? I would just tell Hr at 12 weeks, (unless you do a manual job where you need a risk assessment) 🤷🏻‍♀️ I found out I was pregnant a week before starting my job last time and they where all really supportive ! They may surprise you ☺️

Congratulations! I don't think you should be nervous :) pregnancy is a protected characteristic. Hope it goes well for you!

Hey! I work in HR - although in their minds they may not be impressed they absolutely cannot show you that 😂 it’s a protected characteristic. You have rights. They will be happy for you! Don’t panic x

Thank you all! Just needed a little bit of reassurance! I know in theory they can't do anything however I know in reality it's not always the case that there will be a happy reaction! It was a job I really wanted, and with our first it took us a while to conceive so we didn't want to delay. Except this time I got pregnant straight away! It was not what I anticipated but here we are 😂. I think in my head I thought that when we started trying last month, it would take at least 6 months!
