Feeding

Do we still feed on demand? My LO is 5 months now and he rarely has any sort of hunger cues and will go 5 hours without a feed. I don't know whether I should be feeding at set times now or still just waiting for him to tell me when he's hungry

I feed on demand, I don't notice many hunger cues other than her eating my arm. I do the kissy test where I kiss her cheek and see if she tries to eat my face

Same! And the comments above makes me laugh everytime I try it on my son. He eats my nose 😂 he also really only takes half a bottle now as he gets distracted x

Ours is quite set at around 4hrs apart, will give earlier if she shows signs/cries obviously or she may go slightly longer if she's napping but 4hrs seems to be in her body's routine x

Mine starts getting fussy around every 2 hours, which is when she naps too x

By this age they are more or less in a routine and will tell you when they are hungry. As long as baby is still feeding at least 5 times in 24 hours then don’t worry.

If she is sucking on my chin, I know she’s hungry lol

If he’s playing on his front and starts to chomp the playmat and thrash his head that’s when I know he’s hungry. He like a little lion savaging it 😂
