Debt

I have gotten myself in about £2000 worth of debt on different credit cards as I’ve had 2 under 2 (2nd was a surprise) & i lost my job. I I was attending college when I had them and therefore was not entitled to universal credit. Now I’ve left, I do receive it but I cannot afford everything when all these bills are coming out for credit I owe. I’m terrified, it’s really affecting my mental health and I’m so sad my children would be better off without me since I can’t afford everything. I don’t want my family to find out but I really need help. Does anyone know of anything else I can apply for for financial help please please

I had about £3000 on credit cards and I was able to do a free balance transfer onto natwest and then it was 13 months of 0% so I was able to get caught up before I had to start paying again. https://www.natwest.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-card.html You can also contact the National Debt Line charity and get free advice https://nationaldebtline.org/

@CeeCee I agree, transfer to a 0% interest card. Means any payments you do make aren’t going into interest

Thank yous, unfortunately it says I am not eligible due to my income so I don’t know what to do

Contact the debt line I linked there and see what they can advise ❤️

Hi there, have you contacted Christians against Poverty? They are great at helping you work things out and are so friendly with no judgement.
