Mother in law walked in on me showering

As I was shaving my lady parts hahahaha! Oh god. I wasn't phased by it, in fact I said "oh! Hiiii" 🥴😂 but after the fact I'm wondering wth. She has never gone into our bedroom, never never used our bathroom. Husband and kids were outside so the house was quiet and unless you're deaf, the sound of the shower is obvious. We laughed it off but what still resonates is her reasoning of looking for me to ask if she could use my shampoo. Then asked to use our shower that night and I noticed she used my perfume & hairbrush. She packed all said items so why didn't she use hers???? Now I feel icked out. She has never used our personal space in the 12 years I have known her. Ok sure, chalk it up to a funny awkward story. But she stood there and while probably not for long, I noticed she was standing in the door frame watching me. Has she never seen a woman shave her cat?? Is it a dominance tactic? She then told me I should close the door to my room next time but told my husband she "may have accidently walked into our bedroom" but didn't mention it accurately. To me, she was bossy but to him, a little old woman victim to seeing our "bed" so not even the truth lmao

That's strange af. She asked for your shampoo as you stood there n@ked????? Wow.....

@Dee sorry, no. She saw me, when I saw her she gasped and ran. Then when I was dressed and in the kitchen she said she was looking for me to ask if she could use my shampoo.... but why look in my bathroom to ASK ME?? If you think I'm in my bathroom, and clearly the shower is on, why would you be so invasive?

Yeah. That's weird lol

That’s weird…weeiirrd 😬 I would have told her it’s my house and if I want my door open I will leave it open but YOU shouldn’t be going into other peoples rooms and you heard the shower going..don’t be snooping. And stop using my stuff!! So weird

@Bee she seems to be losing her hearing just a bit, but told us we talk quietly 😂😂 so always someone else is the problem. Aside from that, she is not old. Nothing about her is. She is in her 60s and I just can't get past the fact that she has never gone into our room, then into our bathroom and it happened when my husband wasn't around. I'm so down to make it a funny story but it felt... intentional. It didn't feel like an accident. So my own curiosity is wondering why would a MIL intentionally do it?

Yeah, that's weird, and I'd be talking to your partner about that. It would give me the ick. You don't go into the bedroom at all unless you have been asked to grab something. Yeah, this isn't OK. Did you ask her why she looked in the bathroom for you? Like who does that?

That night, she also used your razor, just saying.... 😬

@Bonny 🤮🤮🤮💀

My mother in law is a snoop too. She came over one day with a friend and gave her friend a "tour" of the house without my husband or I present. They went into our bedroom and bathroom and everywhere. In my experience it's how these Boomer women are, they feel like they're entitled to invade our space.

Omg that’s weird and odd. She was standing in the door watching you shower until you noticed her? Or she walked in and you both saw each other at the same time? Right now I only have two possibilities. 1- She’s into you 🤢 2- she got busted trying to snoop around your room while husband is outside and you’re in the restroom. She probably was trying to look and check if you were still in the shower but got busted

Oh my god that is such weird behaviour 😳 I think she’s a bit obsessed with you!

@BoyMom I was shaving, so in a full on yoga pose in the shower to do so and stood up, turned and noticed her. That's when she gasped and ran out. I'm sure she wasn't there for long but no, it wasn't like she walked by or in and then immediately left. I'm so confused. What would a MIL be snooping around for? Why have I never seen her do this over the last 12 years??
