Cancel party- Hand Foot and Mouth

The exclusion for hand foot and mouth is just until they don’t feel poorly so I would say it’s okay to carry on!

Maybe let everyone with kids know who are coming about it and let them make their own decisions/ you can then cancel or keep depending on what they all say. I don’t think I’d go personally I wouldn’t want to expose my wee girl to it knowingly, but I don’t know the incubation period/ period it’s contagious etc - what did they doc say? When would he not be contagious anymore/ feeling better

yeh it's contagious, I would probably warn others so they can decide, maybe offer Ppe (sounds daft) but safety first.

No need to Cancel .. seems all kids are having it We went to doctor today and my LG has it and docteur said we’re number 15 with hand foot and mouth

Personally, after seeing my little boy with it not long ago, I wouldn't want anyone else catching it. I've had it, too, and it's pretty nasty. That being said, if people are ok with going, then it's up to them.

I wouldn’t cancel but it would definitely tell everyone attending. I’m not sure I’d take my baby if we were on the guest list though, it’s quite contagious

I would postpone for sure! It’s super contagious - everytime our kids or another kid had it anywhere near us, everyone in our damn family and friend group got it lol.

I think it depends if you’ve hired a place then tell everyone the situation, if it’s going to be a party at home or somewhere where cancellation isn’t going to charge u loads then postpone

My lo had it, didn’t want to eat much in the Monday Tuesday had a rash on her bum and thighs Wednesday sent home from nursery as they said hand foot and mouth. Later Wednesday developed some spots on her feet, was absolutely fine in herself bar poor sleep on the Tuesday from not being comfortable laying down. All gone by the Friday. It’s very common. Doesn’t answer your question, I know! Hope you’re lo is better soon x

I’ve cancelled it, babe is quite unwell with it and we had lots of other babies/children and a pregnant woman attending , just wouldn’t have forgiven myself if we passed it on. Thank you for all your advice 🥰 xxx

@Rachel you could postpone to the following week and just have a wee thing for him yourselves on his actual birthday! These things can’t be helped & fortunately too young to even remember so don’t worry, for what it’s worth I think you’re doing the right thing especially if there’s pregnant mums going. I’m also pregnant again and would be so thankful for you saying in advance xx
