Currently going through the same with my 11 month old, she’s barely eaten anything since dinner on Friday. Pretty sure it’s a tooth like @Lianne suggests
@Lianne what do I do to make sure she’s eating enough?
@Jennie what do you do to make sure she’s eating enough?
@Angelica I can’t really offer any constructive advice because my baby is only 7 months with no teeth yet . It’s just what I’ve heard friends say about their older babies . Off the top of my head though , have you tried changing the texture to more pureed stuff so she doesn’t have to chew ? Porridge , soups , scrambled egg etc maybe . Or what about those teething things with holes in so she can suck fruit through it ?
@Lianne ya she doesn’t even let a spoon come near her mouth and she’s hated the teething things since she was born
@Angelica I’ve just offered as much as I can and made sure it’s her favourite bits, but she’s still not eaten much at all. She had a bit of dinner today after some calpol. She’s breastfed so I have no idea of milk intake but that must be sustaining her ok. I’m trying not to pressure the solids as I guess she will eat again when she feels better
@Jennie that’s reassuring! Thank you!
I always used to go back to puree’d food when he was off/teething, he loved Ella’s kitchen (still does at 25 months) so it was an easy way to get food in x
Teeth!! Generally they won’t eat if they have teeth pain or want to brush teeth… ie my two year old won’t want to eat much or brush his teeth if there is a new one on the way(lately it’s been molars) My baby will eat when there are teeth coming in but only soft items
@Christie @Julie thank you!!
Tooth coming through ! Check gums!
