Are these merchant packets OK to give

My 8 month old has severe diarrhea. I'm following the brat diet as well as trying to add a few vegetables but it's a great diet to follow for too long as it lacks nutrients, can I give these packets as a bit of protien? The sugar and salt content is low.

When my eldest had a pretty bad sickness and diarrhoea bug around this age, I was told by the GP that the BRAT diet isn’t recommended any more and to just offer him solids as normal if he wanted to eat, and to focus more on keeping him hydrated. So I would say just feed him however you normally would- if he likes lentils etc then there’s no harm in offering them.

I’ve given these to my little girl as part of a healthy diet, however we did notice the Puy lentils pack made my little girl poo a lot! She had a nighttime poo which is very rare for her, and then another not long after she woke up that morning, so it might not be the best thing to help x

Thank you, he's just not eating much at the moment which is understandable
