I started foods at 6 months with my two toddlers and will do the same with my current. He was born June 7th so around December we'll start!

My lo was born on 15th. He always sits with us when we have breakfast and if there is sweet peppers or carrots on the table, i give it to him. Since he cannot bite yet, i feel more comfortable. He tastes it and gives it back haha

I thought starting it at 4 month he born on 1st. So idk what to feed

@Alyse nice! What is the first thing u gonna introduce? Cereal? Before milk or after milk.?

Starting at 6 months. That’s the recommendation for most babies unless they have an issue or really bad reflux, otherwise you could be causing life long gi issues. We usually start with avocado and veggie purées, so they get used to those not so tasty ones and not reject them before introducing fruits. We usually do a combination of purées and BLW to start off and it works well. And have fun with it. It’s just for play/practice.

We just started introducing sweet potatoes this week and he’s starting to get used to it! Definitely only doing a few teaspoons especially since most of it barely makes it to his mouth 😂 but he’s starting to figure it out. He gets a bit of breast milk and then we try the food and finish with milk. Then we give some gripe water after to help with digestion.

@MJ_xo thats best idea. Bland food before sweet makes so much sense now i know why my son hates avocado lmao. I will try this with my baby. But what should i mix avocado with? How much spoon etc please give detail advice. Thankyou in advance ☺️

@Anza they make faces at everything at first lol bc it’s new and the texture is different. And even if they “don’t like it” you keep offering it. You’ll Mix it with breastmilk or formula. Theyre not going to each much of it so I wouldn’t start off with a lot. Maybe a spoon full of avocado and you’re going going to add enough milk or formula to make it a thin consistency

Look up eatplaysay on instagram! Loads of great information and she also has a feeding handbook
