Symptoms usually associated with a UTI.

I feel the need to use the toilet, even when I have just been, and nothing comes out but feels like my bladder is full. I discussed it with my midwife but she told me my urine test doesn’t show any signs of a UTI or any other infections. Just wanted to know if anyone could give advice as it can get quite uncomfortable and annoying. Thankss!!

Yep! Usually means I need to go number two and I have to prop my feet up and wait 🤷‍♀️

@Natalie wish this was the same for me. I feel like this even after I have been to the toilet. Very frustrating isn’t it :(

Could be from the pressure on your bladder!

@Loren ahh okay thank you! that eases my mind and makes sense tbh as it does feel like he’s kicking my bladder sometimes but didn’t realise the weight of my bump could effect my bladder thought it just had an effect on my back haha.

I had something similar and felt like I was unable to empty out my full bladder. I went to the urologist and she did a urine flow test and told me I’m retaining 47% of my urine. One thing that may be helpful was the double voiding technique that the urologist recommended. She also recommended continuing with the pelvic floor exercises.

Maybe due to baby getting bigger. I've noticed I've been going frequently now too.

@Sara thanks so much! I will definitely try the double voiding technique and keep up with the pelvic floor exercises ☺️

@Bee yea it should seem obvious to me that baby getting bigger is probably the reason haha but I’m definitely a worrier😅 thanks!

Not to worry you but please go and get checked out, I had this exact same issue and they dipped my wee, no sign of a uti but they sent it off anyway then did a ffn test to test for preterm labour, turns out I've got a 75% chance of giving birth in the next two weeks, please get checked out, you know your own body when something is not right xx

@Destinee oh wow that’s quite scary sorry you went through that! Thank you for the information though I will definitely get checked out. Would you recommend bringing it up with my midwife again or going to the hospital to get checked?

@chantelle do you have a maternity triage number? If so I would call them and ask for advise, my midwife is poo and I can never get through to her but the triage team always help out and will always check you xx

@Destinee yes I do have a triage number. I will call them and get some advice. Thanks so much!
