When people offer help, take it! Don't try be super mum or proud, you can't do it all 💕

Just go with the flow and be gentle on yourself x

Don't forget to eat and drink water. Especially if you're planning on breastfeeding. If anyone asks if they can help and you're too shy for them to come and clean your bathroom or do laundry for you, tell them they can drop off food or get groceries for you.

What helped was having a cart with all the essentials right next to me. If your partner will be home I suggest taking turns so someone wake up during the night. Ofc depending on how baby will be fed but they can change diapers at least. And remind yourself that you are both learning each other and they are adjusting to this whole new world. You got this!

100% agree with Amelia!! Accept any help that is offered!! You can burn out quite quickly! Also I found the huckleberry app to really help me keep track of feeds and nappies in the first few weeks of brain fog!! X

If you’re able to, try making meals beforehand to freeze so you don’t become reliant on takeaways. I also bought a Stanley cup dupe which is huge so you’ve always got a cold drink that will last a few hours. Don’t feel pressured to everyone coming round to meet the baby, if you don’t want visitors it’s fine to delay them. But yes definitely try to accept as much help as possible and if you get chance try to keep up with showering, getting dressed etc so you feel a bit more yourself as well because it’s easy to forget about you x
