Baby food

Have people started offering foods such as pasta, meat etc? Or just sticking to fruits/veggies and cereals for now?

Yeah Jacobs had meat and pasta, were 2 weeks in to weaning but I think he had meat and pasta in his first week x

My lo had chicken the 3rd day of blw with her roast dinner, she’s had cod, salmon, pasta, spaghetti etc they can have anything other then honey and added salt/ sugars etc x

My twin boys have had steak, chicken, French fries , ravioli, egg, avocado toast, watermelon, strawberries, broccoli and the list is endless. We started with purées and ended up doing a mix of baby lead weaning . My boys are 8 months old today

How much are they actually eating? My bubba spits a lot out

@Aimee mine too. He almost hates everything 😂

I give my little one tiny tastes of almost everything, except stuff that's obviously a huge choking hazard or that has honey in it. His pediatrician said that studies point to the idea that kids who are exposed to many different types of food early in life are less likely to be picky eaters later on. I've been doing just tiny tastes with a lot of foods because it makes me super nervous to see him stuffing too much in his mouth, which he does a lot if I give him the traditional BLW style servings. My daughter never did that, but he's a stuffer. 😆

We’re still on purées and baby cereal (6 months)

LG had sausages, chicken, tuna and salmon, plus pasta all in the first week of solids. Never bothered with purees. She has lots of fruit too as its an easy breakfast for her and there's always vegetables with lunch/dinner.
