Any advice for first cycle ICSI?

I have my nurse planning appointment on Thursday and will hopefully start my stims at the weekend! Do any of you have any advice/tips to get me through the next few weeks? :)

Best of luck to you!! Wish you lots of healthily growing follicles 💙 I really recommend staying active doing low intensity exercise. I did a short walk and yoga every day during stimulation until my retrieval. Incorporate activities that can bring you peace (meditation, watching Netflix, whatever brings you joy!) focus on the things you can control, not the things you can’t. You can’t predict your outcome or do much to change it, so celebrate the fact that your body is doing this really amazing thing!! For meds, some may give you some heat flashes (I found retrieval meds to be more intense than transfer meds) so plan for ways to make you cool and comfortable. Good luck!!

Is there anything you’re particularly worried about or have questions about?

My advice, plan ahead the time of the medication, what works for you and your evening routine, you will have to stick to it for 12 days. Have a conversation with your partner before starting, medication can make you more irritable, so make him understand that. I discussed it with my partner before we started, I am an embryologist, so I knew that could happen. He was very supportive and it actually made us stronger. I started on a Friday, for a week I was feeling fine but I started feeling bloated after a week so plan something nice to do together the first weekend.
