Baby dropped

How soon after baby dropped did everyone give birth? I'm currently 35 weeks and intense hip pressure and dull back pains. I definitely don't like how my tummy looks but I don't think she can drop Amy lower. I also did have weight loss surgery 2 years ago so I do have extra skin I'm embarrassed.

My baby dropped over a week before my planned c-section. It differs from person to person so it could be a couple days or over a week. Also don’t need to be embarrassed about the extra skin, bodies change! Right now ur body is creating and protecting a little human and that’s amazing!

@Victoria my OB wants me to have a c section in 2 weeks bc she said baby is a little bit big well I had my regrowth scan Friday and just got results back and she is weighing 5 pounds 15 oz. Is this a good weight at 35 weeks

I read the average baby size at 35 weeks is a little over 5 lbs so it does seem like ur baby is gonna be big! My second was also big at almost 9 lbs at 38 weeks

@Victoria middle daughter weighed 10 pounds 8.1 oz at birth but I don't see a need for a c section and they are trying to convince me also said I have mild anemia but my iron was above 35 so at this point idk what to do I definitely want to avoid a c section of I can

I only had a c section with my second because I had a c section with my first. Is the only reason they think u need a c section because of baby’s size? I mean if u gave birth to a 10 and a half pound baby before it seems weird they would want to do a c section for this one

@Victoria so my sugars are fine and my iron is fine and after I ate 2 pepperoni sticks an hour later my sugars were 105 so I don't understand why a c section would be necessary

I think u should ask the ob to explain why a c section would be necessary and give ur reasoning why u think it is not necessary and tell her that u would like to do a vaginal birth. I mean I don’t kno her and I’m not a doctor but it seems weird to do a c section just for an above average size baby. She is there to help u not to dictate to u. Make sure she knows how u feel abt it and maybe have another person to help advocate for u. U might still need to end up having a c-section if there are other potential issues the OB mentions, but at least u will kno why u need it and that u r getting the best care for u and baby

The scans are not always accurate for weight! They thought my son would be over 9lbs at 39 weeks and he came out at 7lbs 11oz at 40+4.

I had wls 4 years ago and have extremely loose skin, it’s ok girly! Our bodies are amazing. My baby felt like she dropped and seemed lower, but you will feel pressure in the pelvis area. I ended up needing an emergency c section (she got stuck). Most say the first baby may take a bit even after they drop. Start doing exercises to ensure baby’s in position
