When my baby was little I gave him silicone toothbrushes and he loves brushing his own teeth until I got him a normal baby toothbrush
If there is anything he particularly likes watching on the TV, like Ms Rachel or Blippi, they do toothbrushing songs that might help.
We started off brushing with a baby silicone toothbrush that goes over our finger, he loves chewing our fingers so it worked well 🤣
@Rachel he likes the dancing fruit and simple songs on YouTube. That or the lion king
Unless there is a Simple Song toothbrushing song, then I don't think any of them will help you, I'm afraid 🫤
You could get an extra tooth brush for him to play with and chew on so it has a similar appeal to his toys and teethers and might be more accepting of the brushing also play though out the day at brushing teeth.

I like to brush my teeth while he brushes his and sing songs, it encourages them
We started with the one you wear on your finger and that worked very well until he got more teeth. Then the biting hurt lol. We laid him down like pictured above as well when he would fight it. My husband would play or tickle him so his mouth was open. The last thing that has worked the best but they have to be old enough to understand is my husband will pretend brush his own teeth then my son thinks it’s cool for me to brush his. On solo nights I would set out my electric toothbrush and turn it on . He actually picked it up and tried brushing mine while I did his. After doing that for a few weeks he enjoys brushing his teeth and will go into the bathroom to do it willingly
There are different types of toothbrushes you can get, I’ll try and find one that might be a better alternative. Took us ages to get in a routine now at 22 months we have no problems 95% of the time
