Potty training

Hiya has anyone started potty training yet? Any tips on how to approach it/know when they are ready. He will be 20m on the 14th. Many thanks :)

Personally I would say too young … but you know your child . We sit on the potty every night before bath just to get used to it xx

Mines cracked it 😊 he was showing signs of wanting to use it and picked it up quick so if you feel your is ready definitely go for it! He was also recognising when he was doing a wee and poo which was also why we started it. I introduced the language and almost showed him what I did by saying look wee in the toilet. Then we just had him nappy less with the potty right by where he was playing. Helps to have it where they can see it to begin with! Then just encourage sitting on it and saying about doing a wee in there. It might take a few tries but they do pick it up. If it's not working leave it a few weeks then go back to it. You can always introduce "nappy free time" where you just leave the nappy off for an hour or so and if they start to wee then just say quick quick to the potty. That really helps as well! Gets them used to the idea of that's where it should go. Hope that makes sense and helps!

@Ebony thank you! I’m going to give it a go I know he might be young but he’s showing signs and he’s really independent. Gunna give this a go
