Weaning

Is anyone else’s little one still not a great eater? I see so many kids her age eating meals and she’s barely eating a handful of things. She’s been badly teething and is now poorly but I can’t help feeling like I’m doing something wrong when it comes to food. Tried spoon feeding, baby led etc some days she’ll eat brilliantly and I think we’ve turned a corner and then the next she refuses to eat anything. I don’t know what else to do :(

We're exactly the same here. I'm trying to remind myself that all humans have different appetites and maybe that's the deal (but I'm anxious and stressed too 😅🤣)

Same here, hoping nursery helps her, sering other children eat but she's not done great there either so far x

Mine weaned amazing but it’s all gone downhill recently, sitting in one place and concentrating on a meal is just not high priority for them 😂. I’m only chill about it as my first was the same, he’s nearly 3 and still doesn’t eat loads but is absolutely fine. Annoying they both eat really well at nursery 😵‍💫.

@Shannan I’m doing the same but can’t stop worrying. Hopefully something will click with them soon!

@Kat hopefully they’ll discover something they love and it’ll kick start them. Otherwise mine will be living off yoghurt for the foreseeable 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

@Laura do you find feeding them easier at mealtimes or when they’re distracted and playing? I’ve tried both but doesn’t seem to make much difference x

@Holly Ha mine too, she loooooves yogurt and egg custard lol She's in nursery today so I'll be keeping an eye on the app to see what she had, fingers crossed. My feeling has always been, they'll eat more solids when they are ready, everyone learns to eat, if they are a bit fussy, they'll grow out of it at some point, it will all be fine xx

Mines the same, we struggle to get him to finish any meal. Hes still on mushed food too! I do let him feed himself but it just ends up on the floor 🥲 everyone’s different is all I keep telling myself xx
